1. Registration & Interview Process

After registering for the class, your registration is not yet final. You have two business days from the date of your initial purchase to read and sign the class handbook and have an interview with Jillian Paige.

If, within the two business days, you either do not agree to the handbook guidelines or feel after your interview that this class isn’t the right fit, you may email [email protected] to rescind your registration and receive a full refund.

After the interview, Meisner in Music reserves the right to rescind your registration if we feel that the class is not a good fit. In this case, you will be emailed within two days of your interview and receive a full refund.

Once two business days have passed since your initial purchase, you cannot rescind your registration and the terms of the handbook will apply.

2. Attendance Policies

As a class member, you are registering for a weekly class that will last for three hours over a duration of 12 weeks, beginning the week of March 10th, 2025, with a culminating final concert (which is included for in-person students and is an additional add-on for online students). Missed classes are nonrefundable. Please see our full attendance policy below.

  • More Than 4 Absences:
If a student misses more than 4 out of the 12 classes, they will not be able to continue in the class or perform in the final concert.

  • Class Shortening Due to Low Attendance:
If fewer than four students are present for a class, the class may be shortened to less than three hours.

  • Failure to Notify of Absence or Notifying of Absence within 24 Hours -
Each student is entitled to one courtesy absence per semester during which they may either refrain from notifying their instructor about their absence or inform us of their absence less than 24 hours prior to the class start time. Should the student fail to notify us or provide notice within 24 hours of the class start time on a second or subsequent occasion, they will be required to observe rather than actively participate in the following class session.

  • Missed Classes:
Missed classes cannot be made up in another section. If they wish to, students may arrange with another student in their class to set up a device for them to Zoom in on should they be unable to attend. Students who opt to Zoom in will observe rather than participate in class.

  • Scheduling Requests:
Each student is allowed a maximum of three scheduling requests (e.g., leaving early, singing first). After three requests, no further scheduling accommodations can be guaranteed.

3. Payment Commitment

  • Refund Policy:
By submitting payment for a Meisner in Music class, you agree that all payments are non-refundable for any reason. Failure to attend, participate in a class, or adhere to the handbook policies resulting in a removal from class at the teacher's discretion does not constitute a basis for a refund or the waiver of remaining payments. All scheduled payments must be completed as agreed upon at the time of registration.

  • Cancellation & Credit Policy:
Once you have enrolled in the class by making payment, your spot is secured. Should you need to cancel your participation in the class, written notice must be received at [email protected] at least 21 days before the start date of your class.
If notified at least 21 days prior, Meisner in Music will offer a credit equal to the total amount of the class that is due, which can be used for any other Meisner in Music class. Class enrollment operates on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of payment or credit. Credits will expire one year from the date of issuance and may only be used for Meisner in Music classes.
If you cancel your class less than 21 days prior to the start date, you forfeit all payments made, agree to pay for the full amount of the class, and no credits will be issued. Meisner in Music does not issue refunds under any circumstances.

4. Enforcement of Payment Policies

Meisner in Music will enforce its payment policies to their fullest extent in the New York City Court System. If necessary, Meisner in Music may engage a third party to collect amounts owed.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you commit to the payment plan and acknowledge that any attempt to negate the autocharge will be considered a breach of contract. You understand that the non-refundable nature of the payments is a strict policy, and your enrollment constitutes acceptance of this policy.

5. Extended Teacher Absence and Substitute Teaching

In the event that Jillian Paige needs to be absent for an extended period of several weeks, please be aware that the class may be taught by a substitute teacher during her absence. While we will make every effort to minimize such an occurrence, there is no guarantee that Jillian Paige will be available to teach during this period.
